Happy Spring from the Chateau!

We are enjoying warmer spring days with more sunlight! The vines should be waking up in the next couple of weeks and we are getting excited for bud break to happen. Brunch season is back! We have received a new shipment of Champagne Magnums, and April 2^nd will mark the return of our Champagne Sundays. Enjoy our private-label champagne with brunch items for a great way to end the weekend. International Malbec Day is April 14th, and we are thrilled to showcase our 2014 Single Vineyard Limited Malbec, as our wine of the month. The Hedges vineyard Malbec has given us some special small bottlings over the years. This 2014 is showing us that Malbec, with a little age, has a unique profile. This library selection has a lot of youth and vibrancy and is just starting to reveal the layers of flavors that age can add.

Pruning is almost complete and the vineyard crew is enjoying the gorgeous spring afternoons. The cellar crew has been busy with bottling, topping, racking, and blending; the Chateau is full of activity! Chef Aislinn had her first cooking class of the year and we have another class coming up in May; make sure to get your tickets, bring your family, and enjoy a unique experience! The hospitality team is prepping the patio and ready to host you both outside and inside the Chateau wine bar, we hope you'll visit soon! All you wine club members who haven't experienced Thursday happy hours yet, you will have to soon! They are a fun after-hours celebration every other week just for you! Spring Club Release is just around the corner and we are so excited we had to share a sneak peek (see photo above)! Reservations are now open for wine club members, email our club concierge, Brie Morrison , for assistance.

Taste Red Mountain Woodinville

Red Mountain AVA is returning to Woodinville for a second annual Taste Red Mountain event. You’re invited to the grand tasting on Saturday, April 22 at the Winemakers Reserve. Enjoy wines from one of the world’s top-growing regions and get to know the wineries producing award-winning Red Mountain wines. Red Mountain wineries will pour current and library releases, featuring Bordeaux blends and varietal wines, paired with small bites from Twelve Baskets Catering.
