Police, Labor, and Business Community Unite Behind
Santa Barbara Mayor and City Council Candidates
| | |
Three organizations representing Santa Barbara’s business community, working people, and public safety professionals have joined forces to support four candidates in the Santa Barbara City Council race: Eric Friedman for Mayor, Monte Wilson for District 4, Cevin Cathell for District 5, and Alexander Stoeber for District 6.
The Chamber, the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA!), and the Santa Barbara Police Officers Association have each endorsed the same candidates. While the three organizations represent different interests and perspectives, they have found common ground on the importance of leaders who understand the city, its neighborhoods and its residents, and who will remain focused on local priorities rather than national partisan agendas.
After a thoughtful process of candidate questionnaires, interviews, and careful evaluation, the groups are proud to endorse Friedman, Wilson, Cathell, and Stoeber as candidates who will champion fiscal responsibility, housing, public safety, infrastructure, the workforce, a strong local economy, and a thriving business community.
