Historical Tidbit: The Marvels of West Bridgewater | |
"West Bridgewater was formally incorporated on February 16, 1822. The physical attributes of the town include a good supply of water as well as rich and fertile soil. The town is traversed by the waters of the West Meadow Brook, the Hockomock River, the Matfield and the Town Rivers. On the Town River at what is today War Memorial Park, the first industrial park in America was born with the establishment of the Ames Shovel Works."

Each route typically takes between 1 to 2 hours to complete.
They are particularly in need of permanent drivers for Wednesdays and backup drivers who can step in when needed. Whether you can volunteer once a week or once a month, your time and assistance would be greatly appreciated.
If you’re interested in making a difference in the lives of seniors in the community, please contact Stacy at the Council on Aging: 508-894-1262
