NEWS YOU CAN USE

NVC and Pinkston have launched the third installment of the 2026 Business Leader Survey!

Building on the momentum of last year’s success, this series remains a vital pulse check on the business sentiment and economic outlook shaping our region’s growth.

We're calling all CEOs, corporate executives, and business owners operating in Northern Virginia to complete this survey. Your feedback provides the critical data our leadership needs to drive the region forward.

The survey closes this Friday, September 25, 2026.

NVC held its quarterly Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

We welcomed George Mason University (GMU) Associate Vice President of Innovation and Economic Development Paula Sorrell to lead a fireside chat on innovation in NOVA.

Paula outlined GMU's innovation ecosystem, including Mason Enterprise’s consolidated small-business support programs, Mason Square’s growth as an innovation district, and partnerships with Arlington, Prince William, Fairfax, and Loudoun Counties. She highlighted the need for more structured connections between startups and customers, alongside greater continuity and coordination in Virginia’s innovation funding and support systems — all of which support NOVA Roadmap goals of reinventing the economy and attracting sustained investment.

Each year, the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards® (GovCon Awards) gathers Northern Virginia’s government contracting community to recognize the organizations, executives, and programs that showcase unique leadership, innovation, and service.

While the finalists and award winners take center stage, the GovCon Awards would not be possible without the dedicated support of its sponsors. NVC is grateful to every sponsor whose support helps make this program, and all other events and programs, possible.
