auspicious beginnings.

Special Resources

Your SPL card gives you access to dozens of online databases, expert-curated collections, and resources about life

in Squamish.

For example, did you know that your library card gives you access to thousands of award-winning craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists? Surprised? You're not alone!

With Halloween just around the corner, why not get crafty with Creativebug’s face-painting, pumpkin-carving, and costume-making tutorials?

Here are just a few examples:

Tech Coaching at the 55+ Activity Centre

On November 2nd, friendly library staff will be at the 55+ Activity Centre to help answer your basic tech questions. This time, we'll be joined by staff from the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, who will be there to connect those experiencing low vision with voice-activated software and other accessibility features. If you or anyone you know has low or limited vision, come by to learn about how to make your tech work for you!

We are in need of older, difficult to purchase equipment for our digitization station. We are seeking donations that are in good condition and working order for a stereo cassette deck and a handheld video recorder.

Double, Double, Books and Trouble

Just in time for Halloween, Double, Double, Books and Trouble is a list of both fiction and non-fictions books all about witches.
