A Note from Ms. Kelli:
Hi St. Luke's families,
I get to share some really exciting news today, and I've been waiting to tell you all!
We are thrilled to announce that Jeni Roop has accepted the role of Interim Children’s Ministry Director at St. Luke’s!
Jeni and her family have been part of the St. Luke’s community since 2005. Over the last 10+ years, Jeni and her husband, Daniel, have served as passionate youth volunteers, currently leading our Middle School and High School volunteer team. Many of you may also recognize Jeni from the Vacation Bible School leadership team, where she has served for the past four years.
With a 17-year background as an elementary school teacher in Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) and her current work as a youth and young adult life coach, Jeni brings a wealth of experience, heart, and dedication to our children. Her coaching passion focuses on guiding young people to discover who they are, where they want to go, and how to get there.
Jeni’s love for this ministry runs deep. Her two sons, Brendan (19) and Cayden (16), grew up right here at St. Luke’s. Brendan is entering his sophomore year at FSU pursuing a BFA in Dance, and Cayden, a rising junior at Windermere High, regularly volunteers with our Treehouse ministry.
"I have always had a passion for working with children and youth," Jeni shares. "My goal is to empower our kids, helping them understand they are loved and accepted, their story matters and their unique gifts can make a meaningful impact—big or small—in our church and community."
Jeni's heart for kids and this community is the real deal, and I could not be more excited for what's ahead for our Children's Ministry. Please join me in giving her the warmest St. Luke's welcome when you see her around!
With so much joy,
Ms. Kelli
