Throughout the on-line, self-paced course, the participant will develop an Master Energy Management Plan. As a first step toward developing a plan, you will review, in more specific detail, the 18 responsibilities of any Energy Management Department. The participant will also understand the importance of accurate data in creating plan and how to fund and use the data. A methodology for keeping gathered baseline data updated and current will also be presented. Furthermore, tools needed to determine what information is needed for evaluating the Energy Management Department’s progress are discussed, in support of continuing analysis. At the end of the course, the participant will learn about producing an evolving facility improvement program, to include replacement project prioritization planning, financing the program, commissioning/retro-commissioning basics, measurement and verification program, and the full development of a Master Energy Management Plan.
To receive certification, students must successfully complete the course, have a TEMA-approved Master Energy Management Plan document that provides a good representation of the individual's agency, and successfully present their plan to the MEM review committee.
