Necessity Pantry request

Please bring empty laundry bottles

St. Michael's is looking for empty laundry bottles (36 oz - 64 oz). Giving the Basics provides the actual soap to St. Michael's but sends it in large 5 gallon containers, which must be transferred to smaller containers for distribution to clients.

Please give your bottles to Marie Weisbach.

Outreach Committee seeks volunteers

Thank you Conn's for your service

"Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings." ~ William Arthur Ward

With many thanks and much gratitude, the Outreach Committee wants to commend Rich and Gabe Conn for their commitment of time and talent in preparing nearly 4,000 meals for the homeless served by Uplift. They have worked tirelessly to prepare the main meals for those in need once a month for many years but feel it's time to retire from this ministry.

Beverly Hudson has been consistently providing help and sweet treats for those ladled meals and has graciously agreed to continue to do so. Annie and Stew Scott are happy to continue to transport the meals to Uplift.

That means we are looking for individuals or couples to take the lead on this ministry, cooking a dish for 60 once a month in the church kitchen (taking about 3 hours).

The Conns are ready to help train interested parties. If 4 volunteers were involved, it would involve 3 hours once every two months. Conns will be preparing meals for September and possibly October, so if you are interested, please let Rich or Gabe Conn and Pat Carle know!
