If you did not drop off the books you wanted to sell during our turn in days in May, you may still drop them off up through June 25th. You will need to email lgunger@faleesburg to find out what dates and times she will be at the school to accept your books.
After June 25th, books will not be accepted for re-sale through the Book Sale.
Our Elementary & Middle School Guidance Counselor, Susie Brewer and her husband, Bill, are about to begin his stem cell transplant journey.
They will be heading to Moffitt Cancer Center for his treatments on June 6th. They will be in Tampa for 100 days and incurring many out of pocket expenses for housing, insurance deductibles etc. Friends have set up a GoFundMe account on their behalf.

Prom is still going to happen for 2020! We encourage you to bring your yearbooks. If it is too late for a tux rental or a dress fitting, just wear a shirt and tie or a nice dress.
A follow up email on June 2nd will tell you how to pay for your evening. We will still prioritize safety and you will be asked to have a signature of permission to attend.

After ten years of serving as an administrative assistant and most recently as the registrar for First Academy-Leesburg, Mrs. Kathleen Scott has announced that she will be leaving as of June 12, 2020. Mrs. Scott has been a valued team member and we wish her well in her new role as the administrative assistant to the head pastor and executive pastor of First Baptist Church-Umatilla. Mrs. Scott will also be working one day a week for her husband, Jim, in his chiropractic office. Thank you Mrs. Scott for a decade of service. You will be missed!
In conjunction with this announcement, First Academy-Leesburg is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Liz Moorman as the new registrar! Liz is a member of First Baptist Church-Leesburg where her husband, David, is the youth pastor. They are the parents to a precious daughter named Eli. Liz is a graduate of Saint Petersburg College. Prior to moving to Leesburg, Liz served in public school districts in Alabama as a Title 1 reading instructor and a teacher. Welcome, Mrs. Moorman!
