A NOTE FROM NICK

It has been an exciting and incredibly busy summer at Ronald McDonald House. Throughout the summer, hundreds of families have called Ronald McDonald House home while their children receive medical care.

One of the biggest developments is our More Than a Meal Campaign and the work underway to build a new commercial kitchen. As our House has grown from 42 to 72 guest rooms, and our meal program has expanded to seven days a week, our kitchen simply needs to grow with us. Thanks to an extraordinary $1.5 million leadership gift from the Harper Family Foundation, we are moving this important project forward with confidence and momentum.

We’re also grateful for partners like Vanicream, whose ongoing support provides personal care essentials for families who often arrive with little notice. Partnerships like this may seem simple, but they make an immediate difference for families during some of their most difficult days. Please take time to read more about their support below.

And perhaps one of the most exciting signs of our growing impact is our new Ronald McDonald Family Room at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Saint Marys Campus. In just six months, we have already welcomed more than 5,000 family check-ins. This serves as an incredible reminder of both the need for this space and the difference it is making every day.

There is a lot happening across our organization, but it all comes back to one thing: finding new and better ways to keep families close, cared for and supported when they need us most. Thank you for your ongoing trust and support. From all of us at the House, we hope you enjoy a wonderful end to the summer season.

NEWS

More Than a Meal: A New Chapter Begins

We're proud to launch the More Than a Meal Campaign, an initiative to build a new commercial kitchen that will help Ronald McDonald House nourish and support families for generations to come.

Because a warm meal is never just a meal. It's comfort after a long day at the hospital, a chance for families to gather together, and one less thing to worry about while caring for a child who is ill or injured.

Thanks to a transformational $1.5 million leadership gift from the Harper Family Foundation, this vision is now underway. Even more exciting, their generosity has created a dollar-for-dollar matching opportunity, meaning every gift to the More Than a Meal Campaign will be doubled to help bring this project to life.

Since expanding from 42 to 72 guest rooms, our meal program has grown from serving four meals each week to providing one meal every single day. This year alone, we're on track to serve more than 30,000 meals. But while our House has grown, our kitchen has remained the same.

A new commercial kitchen will allow us to prepare more meals, welcome more volunteer groups, strengthen our Food Co-op and Family Room, and ensure every family continues to receive the comfort, connection, and nourishment they need.

Now is the perfect time to make your impact. Thanks to the Harper Family Foundation's matching gift, every dollar you give will be matched—doubling your support as we build a kitchen designed to serve families for generations to come.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT

Vanicream:

Everyday Essentials, Extraordinary Impact

When families arrive unexpectedly, comfort starts with the basics.

Many families who stay at Ronald McDonald House arrive with little notice—sometimes after a child has been transported by ambulance or helicopter for emergency medical care. In the chaos of a child's medical journey, it's easy for everyday essentials to be left behind.

Thanks to Vanicream's ongoing partnership, our welcome bags include personal care items that help families settle in and focus on what matters most: being with their child.

We're grateful for Vanicream's continued support and invite you to watch our new Partner Spotlight video to learn more about the impact of this partnership.
