NEW ORLEANS (October 28, 2026) — Delgado Community College will host its Building Futures Scholarship Fundraising Luncheon Tuesday, Nov. 10, bringing together community and business leaders, supporters and friends to help expand educational opportunities for Delgado students.

The event will be held at Galerie de Galatoire, 211 Royal St. in New Orleans, beginning with a meet-and-greet at 11 a.m., followed by the luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. Delgado President Richard Nelson will deliver the keynote address.

Proceeds will provide scholarships for students pursuing education and career pathways in programs including Allied Health, Construction Management, Culinary Arts, General Studies, Maritime, Motor Vehicle Technology and Nursing, among others.

“Every Delgado student has a story, a goal and a future they are working to build,” said President Nelson. “Scholarship support can help turn those goals into reality and give students greater opportunity to pursue their education and prepare for meaningful careers.”

Chancellor Dr. Larissa Littleton-Steib said scholarships can help remove financial barriers and keep students focused on completing their education.

“Scholarships can make a tremendous difference in a student’s journey,” Littleton-Steib said. “They allow students to stay focused on earning their credentials, developing their skills and preparing for successful careers.”

When students succeed, communities succeed. Through Building Futures, Delgado and its supporters are investing in students and the future of the New Orleans region and Louisiana.
