Michigan Minimum Wage Increase

The end of 2025 is here, and the Lake Superior Community Partnership continues to closely monitor changes in workforce development across our region. One important update for employers in the new year is the upcoming wage increase. The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) has issued a reminder that the state minimum wage will increase from $12.48 to $13.73 per hour, and the

tipped hourly wage will rise from $4.74 to $5.49 per hour, effective January 1, 2026.

For more information on these changes, visit the LEO - Michigan Minimum Wage.
