Give a Gift. Support Our Community.

VCI has partnered with Mickman Brothers, a family-run company with more than 40 years of experience in holiday fundraising, to offer fresh, hand-crafted holiday evergreens this season. Every purchase made through our link earns 15% for VCI's programs and community projects.

Orders ship via FedEx and can be sent as gifts directly to a recipient with a personalized holiday message. Central Florida customers can add a Greenzit treatment at checkout to keep evergreens fresh longer in warmer weather.

Option 1: Donor Advised Funds

Give to VCI Through Your Donor Advised Fund

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account at a sponsoring organization like Fidelity Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, or Schwab Charitable. You contribute assets, receive an immediate tax deduction, and recommend gifts to VCI whenever you are ready. Your DAF portal may call this a "grant recommendation," but the process takes just a few minutes.

How to Make a Gift

1

Log in to your DAF portal

2

Search for Volunteers for Community Impact or enter our EIN

3

Submit your gift recommendation (your portal may label this "grant")

Option 2: Appreciated Stock or Securities

Donate Stock Directly to VCI

If you hold appreciated stocks or securities, donating them directly to VCI means zero capital gains tax on the growth and a deduction for the full fair market value. Provide the transfer instructions below to your broker.

Please note: For gifts made through your DAF, you received your charitable tax deduction when you originally funded your DAF. VCI will send an acknowledgment confirming your gift, but it will not serve as a tax receipt. For stock transfers, deductibility is subject to IRS limits. Please consult your financial advisor with any tax-related questions.

2026 tax law update: New federal rules took effect this year that changed how charitable deductions work for itemizers, including a new floor on deductible giving and a cap on the deduction benefit for top-bracket donors. These changes do not eliminate the value of giving through a DAF or donating stock, but they do affect the numbers for some donors. Please consult your financial advisor to understand how they apply to your situation.
