HOUSTON ART EVENTS

January 4–7, 2024 | Issue 24

Welcome to my 24th issue of "MUSED Houston!" When I launched this weekly visual arts e-newsletter on July 20, 2023, I hesitated sharing it with the public. For years, I have been privately creating this list for friends and family so that they could "MEET ME THERE" at key events I was planning to attend. I knew once I made it public, there would be an expectation to continue it, and I wasn't sure I was up for the challenge and the TIME that it takes to canvas, research, fact-check, write, and share what's happening in the Houston art scene.

Over the past six months, I have promoted well over 500 visual art shows in Houston at nearly 200 venues featuring over 1,000 artists through 24 weekly issues; each distributed free of charge to an organically growing list of engaged subscribers (with a 60% open rate!).

Happy new year! ~ Melissa Richardson Banks
