As you have read in our Newsletters over the past year, we’ve been asking STEM Sports® curriculum teachers, administers and adapters to provide feedback pertaining to their satisfaction level, approval rating and overall effectiveness of our supplemental curriculum. We are happy to provide the results of this survey. Simply click on the Survey Results button below to review the outcomes. We are very pleased with the results and soon we will have even greater news to share with all of you about the growth and maturation of our curricula. More to come on that!
If you have yet to provide feedback about your experience with our curriculum, it is not too late. Simply click

And of course, we must share a testimonial pulled from one of the surveys because, like the title says, the customer is always

“
The engagement in learning while focused on problem-solving is a strength. The students don’t realize everything they have learned and it is fun to see them connect things that have been taught to what they learn in the modules.”

VERIZON GRANT OPPORTUNITY!
Verizon Innovative Learning was created in 2012 with the goal of giving students the tools they need to improve their STEM literacy. Since their founding, they have helped lessen the “digital gap” by providing millions of students with the in-classroom technology they need for STEM lessons. Recently, Verizon Innovative Learning has paired with Arizona State University to create a program that invites middle school students to participate in an elective course curriculum. The program pushes innovation, design and technological fluency through their teacher training, technology package and online student courses. We encourage 6th through 8th-grade teachers at Title I schools to apply today. Start by clicking on the button below.

FOR MOROCCO!
STEM Sports® visited Casablanca, Morocco to kick off our international efforts with partner TIBU. TIBU is a non-profit NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) that uses basketball and sports as a means of education, youth development, and social inclusion. Throughout the week-long visit, we learned about the extraordinary impact TIBU has on close to 100,000 youth around Morocco. TIBU uses basketball and other methods to impart teamwork, innovation, commitment and integrity skills and traits that will shape their future.
TIBU held a press conference announcing our partnership whereby STEM Sports® supplemental curriculum will begin to be integrated into the public and private school systems throughout Morocco. We’re thrilled to be working with TIBU and their President Mohammed Amine Zariat (left), who is pictured with STEM Sports® President & CEO Jeff Golner. FORE KIDS!
STEM Sports® had the privilege to attend the 2019 Charles Schwab Cup Championship at the Phoenix Country Club. From our soon-to-be-released STEM Golf curriculum, we enjoyed the opportunity to provide lessons to almost 100 children from the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Phoenix and The First Tee. The young students learned about the force of a golf swing and about clubface and angles used in the game of golf. We would love to be part of the event again in 2020! Please enjoy a short video from this year’s event by clicking below.

FOR THE WIN!
We are a proud member of the Sport and STEM Alliance, founded by
Beyond Sport
. In mid-November, the Alliance convened in Los Angeles at the TGR Learning Lab hosted by the TGR Foundation – a Tiger Woods charity and our charge was to chart a way forward for 2020 with the priority of shaping a collective focus. Members, including President and CEO Jeff Golner, brought forward the 10 areas that they feel have the greatest potential for collective impact to a workshop with 225 Beyond Innovation attendees. At this workshop, and in keeping with sport, a lively and competitive Pitch session followed where representatives from each of the ten tables made their case for their topic to become one of the three that the Alliance will concentrate on next year – with the top online vote recipient set to receive $10,000 of Alliance funds to support the work. We’re thrilled to announce that with 54% of the votes, Educating the Educators: using sport to enable our educators to teach STEM-based topics came out on top and this roundtable was facilitated by our very own, Jeff Golner!
