From Your Administrative Team

Hello Families,

We want to celebrate ALL of the talented performers, artists, musicians and engineers who shared their gifts with us at last week's Talent Showcase! We also want to thank our Student Emcees for hosting the event. Finally, we want to share our gratitude for the work, planning, organization and rehearsals from our planning committee, led by our Activities Coordinator, Jahmal Durham! Thank you for bringing this beloved annual event to life in a BIG way! We can't wait to see what talents are showcased next year!

This month is also Jewish American Heritage Month! We want to share this powerful resource that includes lessons and activities for students.

For our last celebration of AAPI Heritage month, here is a beautiful collection of children's stories highlighting and celebrations Asian voices--enjoy!

For our final resource of Mental Health Awareness month, we wanted to help highlight the many things done on a national level to improve mental health for all. It can be difficult to see past the darkness, and it's important to look for the light.

We are so excited to begin Presentations of Learning with you this week! This is such a special opportunity to give students as individuals a time to reflect and celebrate their year. Thank you in advance for the time and care you've put in to helping your student feel ready for this presentation!

Take Good Care,

Kaitlin (she/her) and Sage (he/him)

Garden Club on Tues/Thurs Mornings!

We will be meeting on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the blacktop garden area from 8:45 to 9:10 am.  Please use the appropriate sign-in sheets located in the front office. Thankfully, we're making a great amount of progress and we can see the GROWING excitement from our students who visit the garden space on a regular basis. The next phase of the project includes creating opportunities for our "Student Garden Ambassadors". This initiative could include creating a 'Homeschool' learning opportunity for a community service activity.  Parents who are interested in learning more about the project objectives or joining the Garden Club committee, we will be posting updates and other invitations to support the project in the weekly newsletter. *If you are continuing with us or are a new family wanting to expand your gardening experience, please click HERE to complete a short survey. For questions and comments email jdurham@davincischools.org

Running Club!
