We have just relaunched WORLDwrite’s scholarship fund in honour of Sadhvi Sharma to provide annual paid internships for individuals interested in using film, TV, and journalism to promote the best for humanity. The charity hopes to raise £10,000 this summer, which will fund four part-time paid internships for the deserving young volunteers featured above - Anandita Pelia, Edward Vear, Avgi Fasouli, and Luca Moretto. The internships will offer these young people the opportunity to work as assistant producers, to develop their filmmaking and historical research skills and to learn to edit while working on WORLDwrite's epic documentary, Making Common Cause: the UK Solidarity Story. Sadhvi, was a WORLDwrite volunteer and management committee member until her untimely death at the young age of 39 in March 2021. Her passion for freedom, free speech and global equality was infectious and she was able to convey it with eloquence and conviction. We’d be thrilled if you could help these young people follow in her footsteps. Please make a donation if you can at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/sadhvi-fund23 |
