May 19: Social Justice Committee-Portland Pearl Rotary
In the third of our series on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, three fellow Rotarians from the Portland Pearl Rotary Club will present their club's social justice committee's goals, activities and history to Salem Rotarians Wednesday, May 19.
 
Don Smith, Diane Brandsma and Lou Radja are charter members of PPRC's social justice committee and will each speak virtually--covering its founding as a task force in '16 (Don); its goals and initiatives today (Diane); and the underlying DEI framework (Lou).
 
Diane serves as the club service committee director; she is employed in social services/non-profit administration in Portland. Don, PPRC past president, is a retired weekly newspaper editor. Lou, also a Past President, is a motivational speaker, social entrepreneur and coach.

Greetings fellow Rotarians,
 
I look forward to seeing you all this Wednesday.
 
My guess is that nearly everyone in our Club knows TJ Sullivan. On Saturday morning TJ suffered a stroke. He had surgery on Sunday morning and is currently at Salem Hospital recovering.

Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Cards & well wishes can be sent to:
