All Saints Day - Sunday, November 1st
Haygood will celebrate All Saints Day with a special worship service Sunday, November 1st. We will honor members of our church family who passed in the last year, as well as other saints in our lives who came before us. We will show our gratitude and Christian love through music, candle lighting, and Holy Communion. We invite you to honor your own departed loved ones by bringing pictures to place in the windows around the sanctuary. Please remember to take your special photos home with you when you leave!

Stewardship 2027
As we enter the fall and holiday season, I give thanks for God’s faithful work at Haygood. From serving our neighbors through food drives and packing 30,000 meals with Rise Against Hunger to welcoming the Kyiv Symphony and Orchestra and Georgia Boy Choir, we continue to share Christ’s love in meaningful ways.
Our 2027 stewardship theme, “Marks of a Methodist: The Fruit of a Living Faith,” invites us to grow in five daily practices: loving God, rejoicing in God, giving thanks, praying constantly, and loving others.
We see this faith bearing fruit throughout our church. New staff are bringing fresh energy to our ministries, a record 28 children have signed up for our Advent play, and our youth are preparing for their first fall retreat to Camp Glisson since I arrived. As we celebrate this growth, we must also care for our historic facilities and meet rising operating costs.
As we look toward 2027, I invite you to prayerfully consider making a financial pledge to Haygood’s operating budget. A pledge is not a contract, but an expression of your intention to give. It helps our church plan responsibly and continue the ministries that serve our congregation and community.
Thank you for being part of Haygood’s ongoing story of faith, generosity, and love. Together, we can honor our legacy while embracing all that God has in store for our future.

Live Nativity Organizing Committee
As most of you know, every year the Live Nativity is a fun community event hosted by our Haygood Youth.
What you might not know is how much work it takes behind the scenes to set up, organize, and clean up from this event. Because it's so much work, we can't do it alone!
This year, we would like to build a team of people to help with the logistics and "heavy lifting" aspects of the Live Nativity. If you have ever served with the set up and logistics of the Live Nativity in some way or would like to, please click this link to sign up!
In the next couple of weeks, you'll receive some communications about work days and planning days to make sure everything is as great as it can be.

Advent Devotional
Advent is a season of waiting, and we do not have to wait alone. This year, we invite you to join us in preparing our hearts for Christ’s coming by sharing a devotion with our community.
Tell us about a tradition or practice your family uses to prepare for Advent. It might be lighting candles around the table, reading Scripture together, making an ornament, serving a neighbor, or something uniquely your own. Whether your story is joyful, quiet, or marked with longing, it can encourage someone else who is searching for a way to slow down and make room for Christ.
Your words will help others prepare for Advent and remind us that we are walking toward the manger together.
Please email Caroline Enright for a Scripture to reflect on. Please have your devotional back to her by November 6th. Devotional will be published in late November.
