Registration for spring courses at semester schools is closed.
If you are choosing ENG 101: Take the English Self-Directed Placement survey BEFORE you register for the course. The survey will provide guidance about whether ENG 101 is a good class for you at this time. More information and Survey
Students have two accounts*
  1. Registration takes place in cihs.cwu.edu
  2. Permanent official records are kept in your MyCWU account at www.my.cwu.edu
*Neither of them belong to the parent/guardian
In CIHS.CWU.EDU, you
  • Begin your CWU career by opening an account
  • Input accurate information which builds your official, permanent record
  • Choose classes
  • Update your registration information
  • Track your course registration status
  • Get parent/guardian consent

Your cihs.cwu.edu registration account is based on the email you used to register the first time, and the password you chose.
In MyCWU, you
  • Check your official enrollment
  • Earn credits and grades
  • Pay your bill
  • Order your transcript
  • Update name & address information
  • Access CWU resources
  • Grant parents permission for access

Your official MyCWU account is based on your 8-digit CWU Student ID number and the username that CWU has assigned you. This information is provided to you one time, when you first enroll with CWU, via US mail and through email. Don't lose it!
Keep your log-in information for BOTH accounts in a secure location so you can find them later.
If you've lost your account information (username and ID number) phone our office at (509) 963-1351.
Have you logged in to your MyCWU account?*
Activate your connection to all available CWU resources, for access to
  • check your final grades
  • pay your bill
  • order transcripts
  • tutoring
  • library services
  • and other assistance
If you have trouble logging in, you must be the one to contact us for help, not your parents.
Privacy law (FERPA) prevents us from disclosing your personal account information (user name and ID number) to anyone except the named student, without permission. See how to give your parent/guardian access.
  • Note: Passwords for your MyCWU must be changed every six months. Use the Wildcat Password Self Service to reset or manage your MyCWU password or recover your account access.
  • If you phone the IT Helpdesk for assistance, please do so from a quiet area. Not the cafeteria. Seriously.

*First Time CWU Students: You will receive (or maybe you already received) a letter and an email with your ID, Username and the HOW TO instructions. Watch for this notice. It's important. You only get it once. Keep it in a safe place.

Keep Building Your Transcript and Get Access to Resources from CWU
  • Tutoring, Office of the Registrar, Cashier's Office, Information Services, Library and more can be accessed on our Resources Page
  • Use your MyCWU credential (username, email and/or ID number) for access
What does Withdrawal mean?
When a student has taken part of a CWU course and can't finish it, they may withdraw. This may be caused by a family moving, a student personal hurdle, health issues, etc.
  • Withdrawal means no credit or grade is earned, and it has no effect on your CWU GPA.
  • The fees will not be reversed, the bill still needs to be paid.
  • Be aware of academic and financial consequences of a withdrawal, as well as tutoring and academic advising that are available to help you succeed.
  • The CWU transcript will show a W+, W, or HW for a withdrawn course, depending on the type of withdrawal.
For complete information on Uncontested, Complete, or Hardship Withdrawal Policy and deadlines, please visit CiHS Withdrawal Policy
Thinking about your future, maybe at Central?
The Preparing for College web page gives you some guidance about the main things to consider as you work toward your academic and career goals, and includes links to CWU connections like scholarships, admissions, ordering transcripts to transfer credits, and more.
