Call for Transformational Ideas! Innovating Medical Education

The Kern Institute invites all MCW faculty, students, staff, residents, and fellows to submit ideas for funding through the 2022 Transformational Ideas Initiative (TI2) Program. Ideas should be focused on innovating medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin. This can include ideas for MCW's School of Medicine Curriculum Redesign Project or ideas that would improve the learning environment for students, residents and/or fellows at MCW. All ideas are welcome! Each submission should include the intentional integration of character strength development. The TI2 Journey Teams will be guided through the development of their idea through a series of summer workshops led by trained professionals from the Kern Institute's Human-Centered Design Lab. Each project will be implemented throughout the 2022-23 academic year. Funding for each project will be individually granted at the conclusion of the summer workshops based on the needs of each project. For more information about the program, visit our website. Applications We encourage you to create multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams, which include learners and staff, who can build on each other’s strengths as you address the various issues you identify in your project or program idea. The link below will guide you through the application process, where you will be asked to identify the members of your team, list your experience, and provide background information or research you have done on the topic. In 500 words or less, you will be asked to describe your project or program idea using 5 categories: Problem Statement Project/Program Description Key Steps Desired Outcomes Measures of Success
