Sign Up for Your Move-In Appointments!

Greetings Future Granville Residents,


By now, you should have received your room assignment. This is available for viewing in your Resident Portal, and you are now able to sign up for your move-in appointment. If you have been approved for early move-in, you DO NOT need to sign up for a move-in appointment on SignUpGenius. You will receive specific instructions regarding your move-in process and timelines. If you need to move in prior to August 15 and have not yet submitted a request, please submit it here as soon as possible.

You have been assigned to South tower. Because move-in appointments depend on the tower you are moving into, your tower has its own sign up and password.


Each resident can only sign up for ONE move-in appointment. Residents MUST use the email that is on their account (the email that they use to access the Resident Portal), which is the same email they are receiving this communication on. Otherwise, they will get an error message when trying to sign up (shown on page 7 of move-in signup instructions).

Thank you for your cooperation with this matter. For your information, the following floors have special designations: West Towers floors 7-9 are all-female. South Towers floors 2 & 3 are upper-division residents (Sophomores - Graduate students). All other floors are coed, with the majority of them predominantly occupied by First Year students. We apologize if you requested a specific floor, tower, or suitemates and were not granted those requests. Space limitations made fulfilling every request extremely difficult. PLEASE REMEMBER: ROOM ASSIGNMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Alternatively, if you have friends you requested to be suitemates, you can use the tower floor layouts linked here to see if your preferences were accommodated by checking the room numbers. Move-in takes place by appointment only from August 15th through August 20th.

When can I book my move-in appointment?


Now! Please click the link at the beginning of the email to sign up for your move-in appointment.


Move-in appointments are by building and time-slot on a first come, first served basis. So, for example, each tower will have multiple time slots available for each move-in day.

MicroFridge Rental

Now that you have your room assignment, you can place an order to rent a MicroFridge unit! This is a very convenient option since you don't have to worry about these bulky appliances taking up valuable space when packing your vehicle, and it will be waiting for you in your room when you arrive! When the school year ends, you don't have to stress about moving it out, either. You leave it in your room. All of the heavy lifting is handled by the rental company! Plus, the mini-fridge, freezer, and microwave are all one unit, which means there's only ONE plug! Finally, you can't beat having the separate freezer section. A pint of ice cream would not easily fit into the "shelf" style freezer that comes with most minifridges.


If you would like to rent a MicroFridge unit for your room, and have not yet reserved one, please place your order no later than August 1 so there is adequate time for it to be delivered. Read more about this convenient option here. Orders can be placed here.

Shipping Packages

Please note that the earliest day we can receive packages is Monday, August 14. Any packages you have shipped to Granville will need to be picked up from the package center, located at West Desk. We are unable to deliver items to your room. Parents and family members should consult their resident for their mailing address.

Liability Insurance


As part of your lease, you are required to submit proof of liability insurance. Please note that liability insurance is not the same as renter's insurance.


Basic requirements for proof of liability insurance include:

  • The student’s name
  • Policy begin and end dates
  • Policy number
  • Liability amount (minimum $100,000) The policy also MUST list Granville Towers as Party of Interest/Interested Party/Additional Interest using our mailing address as follows:

Acceptable documents for proof of insurance include:

  • Insurance confirmation email, declarations page (evidence of insurance/proof of insurance/fire policy status)
  • Renewal certificate
  • Insurance binder (This is a form of temporary proof and must show the effective date listed. After the effective date, residents will have to show additional proof of insurance.)
  • Application for insurance

NOTE: American Campus Communities (ACC) is partnered with a company called LeaseTrack that offers insurance. However, if you wish to obtain a policy with them, we ask that you please wait for further instructions from us before proceeding. The way the program is structured currently, the policies purchased through them default to listing ACC as an interested party. This would not meet our lease requirements. We are investigating this further. Thank you for your patience.
