Compassion Camp began this Monday, and we were delighted to see so many families return to the area after their summer vacations. We are hearing tales of great adventures, trips that left lasting impressions, and lazy days spent making childhood memories. We know many of you are still filling these last weeks of summer away from Larchmont; we wish you a safe return.
At the Church, the staff, with the help of Church committees, are busy preparing for Welcome Back Weekend and all that we have in store:
Saturday 9/6 @ 8 PM, LAC Seekers kicks off with a very special event, “An Evening with Carrie Newcomer.” Carrie Newcomer is a national award-winning recording artist who will bring her bluesy voice, stirring lyrics, and moving reflections to LAC. She is a poet and songwriter, activist and motivational speaker who brings the promise of a truly unique concert experience. Sunday 9/7 @10 AM, Worship Service with guest Carrie Newcomer. Carrie will join with Douglas Kostner and our Chancel Choir to offer special music in worship. Sunday 9/7 @11:15 AM, Annual Block Party. Join us for all the food and fun you have come to love, including the Bounce House, Sno Cones, children’s games and activities, food and treats, and -- best of all – the chance to catch up with cherished friends after the long summer.
