Every school year, through the generous gifts of our partners, Simplicity Ministries® provides the Hope Vocational Training Center (HVTC) in Rwanda with Bibles for all graduating students. This year, 435 students will receive their very own copy of God’s Word!
HVTC is a ministry of Rwanda Rise whose goal is to provide the youth of Rwanda with the skills needed to work their way to a brighter future. At the same time, the school also provides spiritual training for their students so that every young person who attends the school hears the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For the past 12 years, Simplicity Ministries® has partnered with Rwanda Rise through 6 mission trips to Rwanda and doing discipleship and evangelism trainings with HVTC students, area pastors and evangelists.
COVID-19 forced us to cancel our scheduled trip to Rwanda in May of 2020. The pandemic also made it difficult for HVTC to do daily devotions with students due to social distancing measures. Despite this and other setbacks, the annual Bible distribution was a huge success! The team at HVTC shared the Gospel with the students before giving out the Bibles, and there were students who gave their lives to Christ. We praise the Lord for this!
228 of the Bibles have been distributed thus far, and the remaining 207 Bibles will be given to students who will be completing their courses soon. Please pray that more of these young people will put their faith in Jesus Christ as the Gospel is again presented at the next distribution. Pray that all the Rwandan students who received Bibles this year would read them and come to a deeper understanding of who Jesus is. Thank you for partnering with us!
