GIVE THANKS!

We have much to be thankful for here at Crossroads.

Thank you to Terry Hogue, Ron Leonard and Jim Groves for looking after our building on Sunday afternoons after church. They have all stepped up recently to help clean and vacuum in the absence of a regular janitor, in addition to making sure all the doors are locked and the building is safe on Sundays.

Thanks again to Ron Leonard for taking on the task of starting our Liturgist ministry. Ron has been responsible for finding and scheduling people to be Liturgists for our Sunday morning services up until now. He is stepping back from this role and passing the torch to Paula Kleim, who also deserves great thanks for continuing this important function. If you would like to be a Liturgist, please see Pastor Mary Jo or Paula on a Sunday morning.

Thanks to Darrell Newhouse for recently making some electrical and structural improvements in the organ blower room downstairs. Darrell is always in the middle of some maintenance task for this church, and nobody knows our building like he does. Everyone at the church owes Darrell huge thanks for always making sure our lights are on, our plumbing is working and the building isn't falling apart!

Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to volunteer in the church office recently. Pastor Mary Jo and your Organist and Chronicle Editor Christopher Dazey could not have done their regular jobs these last few weeks without these volunteers watching over the office during this transitional time!

And finally, here is a thank you note to you, the members of the church. Bode Stephan was one of our two scholarship recipients this year (as written about in the recent print edition of the Crossroads Chronicle). He entered Ohio State this year as a Freshman, and here is the thank-you note he sent the church:

(Crossroads Church, Thank you all for choosing me to be the recipient of a scholarship. It's 100% helped me in my first few weeks on campus. Thank you to everyone at Crossroads and thanks be to God! Sincerely, Bode Stephan)

Meeting THIS Sunday

September 20

Immediately following worship at the Newton Family Apartments - 1016 2nd Street

Everyone in the church is invited to this special MEET-THE-CANDIDATES gathering
at the Newton Family Apartments after worship!

This is From the Archives, where we present something from our extensive collection of archival photos, records and all manner of materials dating back to when the church was First Methodist Episcopal, to First Methodist, to Church of the Savior, to St. Paul's to Crossroads.

This week, the archives item is - YOU!

We have shown you many shots of individuals and groups of people in the church from the 1800s and the 1900s in this section of the Chronicle Weekly. But this week, it's you, or us, in the year 2026.

This is our most recent congregational photo taken just this week after our Fall Kickoff service. Thank you to everyone who came out for the service and the photo.

What will this fine-looking group of people accomplish together this upcoming program year? Let's find out!
