Seniors Can Apply for Primary Residence Tax Classification for 2025–2026
Colorado seniors have an exciting opportunity to save on property taxes for the upcoming years. A special Qualified Senior Primary Residence Classification allows eligible property owners who moved or plan to move within the state to temporarily reinstate their senior property tax exemption for their new primary residence.
PORTABILITY
For tax years 2025 and 2026, seniors who moved or plan to move within Colorado can take advantage of this classification to regain their exemption on a new home.
