Trinity Tidings

The Fourth Sunday

After Pentecost

June 21, 2026

From the Rector

Each year it is normal to have a formal visit from one of our Bishops in The Diocese of Texas/ Usually this is done by Bishop Ryan, our Regional Bishop, and sometimes done by Bishop Doyle, our Diocesan Bishop.

August 23rd will be the date of Bishop Ryan’s next visit to Trinity.

With it comes the opportunity to formally become an Episcopalian if you are not one already!

Anyone originally baptized in The Episcopal Church is an Episcopalian. At some point, most people are Confirmed by an Episcopal Bishop by the laying on of hands and anointing with oil. This often happens somewhere on the journey to becoming an adult, but sometimes happens later. For those who were baptized as babies or as a young child, it is an opportunity to proclaim your Baptism for yourself within our communal liturgy.

For those not originally baptized in The Episcopal Church, Confirmation or Reception is the formal/liturgical way to become an Episcopalian.

I would love to have the opportunity to talk with you about any of these options, or even Reaffirming your being an Episcopalian! Please schedule some time with me, or call or text me to learn more.

Faithfully,

Rev. Kurt

Sunday Sweets Sign-Up

Our Sunday Sweets calendar is looking a little bare, and we need your help! Providing treats for fellowship time is a simple but important ministry that helps create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where members and visitors can connect after worship.

Many dates are still open, and without volunteers, we may not be able to offer refreshments on some Sundays. Whether it's cookies, donuts, coffee cake, or another favorite treat, every contribution makes a difference. Signing up for just one Sunday is a wonderful way to share in the hospitality of our church family.

Treats may be dropped off in the office by Thursday at 2:00 p.m. or brought to the kitchen by 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Please take a moment to check the sign-up sheet in the Narthex and choose an available date.

Thank you for helping make fellowship time a welcoming and meaningful part of our Sunday mornings!
