The Friends of Melton Park organization continues its amazing work towards improving this wonderful park right in our neighborhood.
Join your neighbors on the First Sunday of each month! Meet at 2pm at the trailhead on Desmond Drive to help with forest stewardship and habitat restoration.
There will be multiple options for physical work, including hand-removal of vines and privet seedlings, using loppers and handsaws, and removing large privet using weed wrenches. Some workdays will also include digging, planting, and watering for new native plant installations.
Please bring shovels and loppers if you have them. Dress for muddy conditions and physical work (long pants and closed-toed footwear that can get dirty). Bring a refillable water bottle. Children elementary age and up are welcome, accompanied by an adult
