Are you struggling to remain positive, energetic, and responsive in the current political climate and global circumstances? Reviewing the news can be frightening, heart-breaking, and dispiriting. Yet WILPF members and allies find strength, renewal, and creativity by coming together.

Experience the power of our coming together. Together, we see the power of our agency! Our Congress calls us to advocacy: collectively, with our branches and local and global allies, and as individual activists. Our presenters will help us see how Water is on the Frontlines of Peace, so the Earth and all species can survive and thrive – highlighting actions. Together, we can support the rights of nature and humans to water!

Both WILPF and the upcoming thematic presentations address the many connections and intersections in the world today. So many of the dire circumstances in the world are driven by income and power inequalities; capitalist and corporate greed; militarism; disregard for nature, human rights, and indigenous peoples; and widespread denial of scientific information. These factors are also fundamental in contributing to the water crises around the world. Our Congress theme is grounded in that interconnection, and building the foundations for peace means addressing those inter-relationships. Our Congress motto, Agency – Advocacy – Action, reminds us that what each of us does matters.

Act now to get the special rate for WILPF members: $55 for the entire Congress! After this Wednesday, May 22, the general rate will be $75.00.

Member-only Registration »

Register today to join in for the whole Congress. Here are a few highlights: a special video message from Pedro Arrojo-Agudo, United Nations Special Rapporteur for Water and Sanitation; numerous motivating and knowledgeable speakers: Mary Grant of Food and Water Watch; Marcela Olivera from Bolivia on Blue Communities; Tamara Lorincz, on ending militarism, and climate justice; Osprey Orielle Lake, founder of the Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network. Look at the Congress site for the schedule and program for the complete daily program. There you’ll also see the many interactive events and presentations from WILPF issue committees, branches, and members.

In a time of almost unprecedented assaults on U.S. democracy, dramatic increases in extreme weather events, massive disregard for international law and human rights, and wars around the world that increase the threat of nuclear war more than in decades – WILPFers meeting, talking, and inspiring each other is transformational and crucial! Recognizing our agency, we can work together to find creative ways to advocate for positive changes. Renewed, informed, and inspired, we can take powerful action.

Use your member-only registration link by this Wednesday, May 22, to get the reduced member price for the full Congress!

On behalf of the Congress Program Committee and entire planning team,

Darien De Lu

WILPF President
