CHAMBER UPDATES

If you would like to donate food, please visit the websites linked below for locations that accept donations.

We will have some donation boxes at the chamber as well.

Ways to help with Food Insecurity

With many families in our community discovering a part of their income has recently disappeared with the cessation of SNAP benefits, the Chamber is putting forward some organizations that can help those in need.

These organizations need your help as demand for their already stretched services will be put to the test. Their clients are likely your neighbors, friends, or perhaps someone in your extended family.

Please look into your heart and give what you can. If you can give money, every donation will help.

“Food Security After SNAP: Finding Local Solutions”

This past Thursday, October 30th, the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted this community forum.

The discussion brought together local advocates from Beth-El Center, WHEAT, Purple Pantry, and First Congregational Church of West Haven to explore the impacts of recent SNAP benefit reductions and share practical ways the Milford community can respond.

For those who couldn’t attend, we’ve included a link to the video of the full panel discussion.

Stay tuned—for more details on the many ways you can help support local families and food programs will be coming soon.
