| Celebrating Our Veterinary Technicians! | |
Vet Tech Week is here! October 18–24.
and we’re excited to celebrate the incredible people who do so much for our patients, clients, doctors, and each other.
Our veterinary technicians wear a lot of hats. They comfort nervous patients, assist with procedures, monitor anesthesia, provide treatments, answer questions, support our doctors, and help keep even the busiest days moving. We absolutely would not be able to do it without them.
Be sure to tell your favorite vet tech what makes them so special!

Could Your Pet Be Hiding Pain? Here's What to Watch For
(View blog post)
| | | | |
Our pets can't tell us when something hurts, and they don't always show pain in ways we might expect. While limping or crying can be obvious signs, discomfort often shows up through subtle changes in behavior and daily routines.
Has your dog become hesitant to jump into the car or climb stairs? Is your cat hiding more often or no longer jumping onto their favorite spot? Changes in appetite, sleeping habits, mobility, and even personality can all be signs that something isn't right.
It's easy to mistake these changes for normal aging, especially in senior pets, but pain is not an inevitable part of getting older.
In our latest blog post, one of our veterinarians explains how to recognize the signs of pain in dogs and cats, common causes of discomfort, and when to seek veterinary care.

🐾Pet of the Month: Phoebe
Say hello to Phoebe, our adorable Pet of the Month! 💕
Phoebe is an 18-week-old chocolate Poodle who recently visited us for her puppy vaccine booster. This sweet little girl is still at the beginning of her puppy adventures, and we're so happy to be part of her journey!
Puppyhood is full of exciting milestones, and staying on schedule with vaccinations is an important part of helping our furry friends grow up happy and healthy.
We loved getting to see Phoebe and can't wait to watch her grow!

Staff Member of the Month: Victoria M., Equine Receptionist
🌟 Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Victoria graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in Wildlife Conservation. With a lifelong love for animals, she joined the Jackpot Veterinary Center team in March 2023 and has been an important part of our crew ever since!
Victoria is one of our front desk pros, helping keep things running smoothly while welcoming clients and their horses with a friendly face. But her talents don't stop at the front desk! You might occasionally catch her lending a hand to our veterinary technicians, too.
Outside of work, Victoria enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, including her cat, Flora. 🐱
We're so grateful to have Victoria on our team and appreciate all the ways she helps make Jackpot a great place for our clients, patients, and staff! ❤️

We know life happens! If you’re unable to make it to your pet’s scheduled appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.
When you schedule an appointment, that time is reserved just for you and your pet. A last-minute cancellation or missed appointment means that spot may no longer be available for another pet who needs to be seen.
Giving us as much notice as possible allows our team to offer that appointment to another pet and family who may be waiting for care
