Upcoming Work:

-Excavation and installation of watermain began on Wednesday morning near the intersection of STH 19 and was completed up to Lake Circle intersection.

Work Anticipated This Week:

-     Contractor to continue watermain from the intersection of Lake Circle to the north.

-     The contractor will be shutting down the road near the intersection of Lake Circle and CTH CV to install utilities across the roadway around the middle of the week. Once the crossing is completed, the contractor will continue to work along the east edge of the roadway to allow local and business traffic through.

-     A second utility crew is slotted to be on site August 4,and they will be working south of Lake Windsor 2025.

The box culvert has been replaced. The riprap and guard rail will be installed this week. 

Chip sealing is complete. The crew will return a few times with their street sweeper to clean up any loose stones. Fog sealing is scheduled for later this fall.

The roadway had minimal gravel under the existing asphalt and poor soils which required the excavation of material to remove the unstable materials. The undercutting which will stabilize and create a strong foundation for the new road, should be finished by the end of this week.
