Hear the "Meet the Candidates" conference call

The 80-minute recording of the February 20 "Meet the Candidates" conference call is now available for listening. Simply dial 641-715-3669 (may entail toll charges, depending on your phone service provider) and enter the code: 107284. The recording will be preceded by instructions on how to fast forward and replay, as you desire.

Read the candidate info on the members-only webpage

Get the information you need to make an informed choice for your vote! For every candidate, candidate statements (up to 700 words), accomplishments, applications, resumes (if provided), and recommendation letters are all available for your review:  wilpfus.org/story/candidates-documents. Scroll down (and down and down!) to find all the information on our numerous candidates.

Election timelines/details

Postmark deadline for ballots is Saturday, March 5.

If you have some problem related to your ballot, please contact the national office immediately at info@wilpfus.org. (You should have received your ballot about two weeks ago.)

We shall allow about ten days for ballots to arrive; however, ballots postmarked after March 5 will not be counted.

On your ballot packet, the address "block" included your membership expiration date. Now is a convenient time to mark your calendar for when to renew!

Also, please note that a member's signing the back of the ballot envelope is now optional. (How do you think we should "certify" members' ballots?)

Please, give us your feedback on the elections

We would really appreciate your concise comments and input. Even a single, brief comment is valuable to us!
  1. Please send your suggestions for improvement and other feedback to nominations@wilpfus.org.
  2. Did you use the special candidates-documents webpage (described above)? Why or why not? How could it be improved?
  3. How about the "Meet the Candidates" conference call -- did you participate? Did you want to, but there was some problem -- what? Was the call helpful? How could the timing and other facets of it be improved?
  4. We also welcome your comments on elections publicity, the application (to be a candidate) process, the ballot packet contents, the candidates info webpage, and all other facets of the elections.
Thank you and into the future!

Finally, a big thank you to all the candidates, to Lamia, Ariane, and the many volunteers working on the elections (and on the correcting of our member records), and to all the WILPF US voters! If the elections have stirred your interest in the national board, remember, you can listen to the board meetings (usually about every other month). Watch (after March 10) for their schedule and call-in information on the Board page. http://wilpfus.org/about/current-national-board/board-directors.

We'll be having another election around the end of this year and again every year, so we look forward to doing better each time. You can help with your ideas, and you can also serve on national committees, such as the Nominating Committee. (Email us for more information; we'll pass your email along to the appropriate recipients.)

Thank you from the Elections Subcommittee of the WILPF US Nominating Committee
