R CLUB OF THE WEEK

The ultimate frisbee club is an intramural competition that is open to any student who wants to play a non-stop movement sport. Ultimate Frisbee combines several sports and provides a new, fun and exciting way for students to compete and stay active.

Club moderator and Roncalli German instructor Louise Hibner states, “Ultimate frisbee club is the perfect crossover extracurricular for students looking to be active, meet new people and scratch that itch of competition! Group members range from playing just for fun (like with our Halloween scrimmage) to perfecting the mechanics of their throw in order to compete with local schools. As the moderator and a previous member of the club myself, I’m glad to help students create a team environment where everyone can have fun and any student can be involved at their own level.”

Junior Israel Reyes agrees, "Ultimate frisbee is a fun sport that I joined this year. It is great exercise to run around with friends and have fun after school."

If you have any questions about ultimate frisbee club or any other clubs, please reach out to Mr. Michael Wantz, assistant principal for student life, at mwantz@roncalli.org.
