Hope Church Weekly Newsletter | | |
Hello, Hope Church!
Last night was the Men’s Crawfish and Axes event! It was a wonderful time of community and fellowship with the other men here at Hope Church. We enjoyed incredible food, threw axes at wooden targets, and heard Doug Sherber encourage us to share the gospel with others. It was a blessing to be part of the night! And just in case you were wondering—Devin Koele won the axe-throwing competition, closely followed by Robert Leonard in second, and yours truly in third!
Fellowship and community are so important to the believer. There are no “Lone Rangers” in the faith (even the Lone Ranger had Tonto). We need each other. The author of Hebrews writes:
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
As life gets busy this summer with kids’ activities, work, and vacations, be sure to make time to connect with fellow believers. Plan a BBQ at your house—invite some neighbors who need a church home! Got a pool? Tell your student to invite classmates over, let them swim, and feed them! Be present at parks, in the community, and in your neighborhood, looking for a chance to say hi to someone and build relationships that lead to gospel conversations and invitations to church.
Don’t take a break from your faith or the church this summer—lean into what God is doing, and I promise He will bless you and your family.
The Student Ministry is hitting the gas on events and hangouts with the goal of connecting with students who are out of school and looking for some good, clean fun! So be sure to check your Realm app (Yes! We have a church app and we hope you download it - more details HERE), this newsletter and social media often to see what the church has going on. I know we still need VBS volunteers in a few key areas like arts and crafts, and there are still a few spots open for Student Camp & Preteen Camp!
I love you, Hope Church, and I pray that God would use this summer to grow you in your faith and in community with other believers!

Urgent Need for Volunteers
in Sunday Morning Hope Kids
Church family, we are reaching out with a critical need—our Children’s Ministry is in need of more volunteers. Without more helping hands, we will be unable to offer the amount and quality of classes for our children on Sunday mornings.
One of our core values at Hope is being multigenerational. Our ministry to children and young families is a central and pivotal part of expressing that value within our church family.
Please, prayerfully consider stepping in to help. Even committing to once a month would make an enormous difference. Our children need you.
Will you answer the call?
View the needs and let us know your areas of interest using the link below.
