Celebrating our Commerce Community
Labor Day is anchored in honoring the contributions of workers to our nation. Although the celebration of this holiday varies among us, one thing we all have in common is the desire to help area organizations get off on the right foot, grow and build a great reputation, and thrive over time. It is extraordinary to see the depth and variety of businesses, professional services, cultural entities, and non-profit organizations that have chosen to be here, and that are on the way to opening here.
As soon as you sit and talk with an owner or manager, it is abundantly clear that their organization is a labor of love and an investment of much more than dollars. Hats off to all of you this Labor Day -- and every day!
Cheers! Camela

Those familiar with local history will recall the former High Point Hospital - a mental health institution on King Street that was known far and wide. High Point is gone. Its legacy is long lasting.
Join us for the first-ever U.S. screening of Erased - a documentary about a filmmaker's search to understand her mother's experience as a High Point patient. Erased will resonate with anyone who has experienced a mental health issue or knows someone who has.
The film screening will be followed by a discussion addressing how we treat and talk about mental illnesses - in the home + workplace. We will share information in support of better understanding, local access to today's range of treatment options and providers, as well as guidance for area employers and employees on managing stigma and fostering safe discussion.
This special program will be presented by the Chamber and the Westchester Chapter of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness, along with other local organizations and mental health providers.
+++++++++++++
We are seeking sponsors to help us bring this important screening to the community and to our members with employees. If you can support this screening with a modest sponsorship and/or by helping us spread the word about the date, contact info@pcrbchamber.net.
