WILPF can and must make a difference! Will you help?
Apply or Nominate for the National Board!
Nomination Deadline: September 15
Application Deadline: September 22
Now
is the time to step up! Bring your passion and clear sightedness, your ideas and energy, to the WILPF US Board. The elections are coming this fall, and you can help guide WILPF's future!
Consider running this fall for one of the eight open positions. As a board member, you would:
- Make policy decisions and take actions for program, membership building, and fund-raising;
- Participate in WILPF US deliberations on policy, budget, and other issues;
- Help shape and develop WILPF at the national level;
- Develop respectful working relationships with sister board members.
Or do you know of a WILPFer you'd like to nominate for a board position?
You can nominate a qualified candidate, helping them to realize that they could fill such a leadership role!
A minimum of 24 months of continuous WILPF membership by September 1, 2019, is required to apply for the board. This means that a candidate must have been a member at least beginning September 1, 2017.
All positions are for three-year terms unless otherwise stated:
- Treasurer
- Development Chair (serves second and third years of vacant 3-year position)
- Membership Development Chair
- Personnel Chair
- Nominating Committee Chair (serves second and third years of vacant 3-year position)
- Program Committee Chair
- Program Committee Chair (serves third year of vacant 3-year position)
- At-Large Board Member (serves third year of vacant 3-year position)
The former Development Chairperson and Nominating Chairperson will offer advice and support to the new officers in these board positions, if it is desired.
