The Secret to Self-Control
Jonathan Bricker | TEDxRainier
Jonathan Bricker's work has uncovered a scientifically sound approach to behavior change that is twice as effective as most currently practiced methods. His new methods are driving new norms and new apps for how people quit smoking and decrease obesity, saving many people from an early death. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
Becoming an Urge Expert
This Month's Tip
Urges to explore bad habits are sensations in your mouth, chest, stomach, or other body parts. Urges are triggered by a LOT of things: time of day, people, places, activities, and feelings.

This week, think about the following:
  • What situations trigger you to experience your bad habit?
  • What feelings trigger you?
  • Where in your body do you have that urge?

The more your learn about your urges, the more likely you will be to quit your bad habits. Use these trigger check-lists daily.
