Happy Independence Day Y'all!
The 4th of July, also known as Independence Day
commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence.
American colonists wanted their freedom from Great Britain,
and on July 2, 1776 the Continental Congress voted for that independence.
The vote passed; however it wasn't until two days later, on the 4th of July
that the Declaration of Independence was revised and signed.
America is 246 years old and she still looks great!
Let's be appreciative of the nation we live in and the freedoms we enjoy.
If you are celebrating this wonderful holiday, please stop by
the Mississippi Farmers Market on Saturday to stock up on everything you will need to cook out, or cook in.
Beef for hamburgers, steaks, greens for salads, peppers, onions, tomatoes,
corn on the cob, watermelon, baked goods, dairy and well, so much more!
