Social Club Day Respite
We are excited to have reopened some of our Respite sites and are operating at limited capacity to allow for social distancing. If you are a Caregiver and interested in this service, please call (850) 386-2778 so we can get you signed up and reserve your spot.

Currently, there is Social Club on Mondays at Good Samaritan Church and on Fridays at St. Paul United Methodist Church. On April 5th, we will start offering respite care in Wakulla at Lake Ellen Baptist Church on Mondays. On April 13th, respite services will reopen in Port St. Joe at United Pentecostal Church. This center will be open on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. On April 15th, our Jackson County Respite Site in Marianna will open on Thursdays.

As we get later into April, we will open more seats in our respite sites and be open for longer hours to provide more relief. Additionally, we are requiring that our clients attending respite care be vaccinated with the COVID 19 vaccination by June 1st. We are also asking this of our volunteers and site coordinators. If there is a medical reason this is not possible, you may be excused from the requirement upon approval from Alzheimer’s Project.
Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias progress over time. Based on a person’s behavior, it can be difficult to tell what stage of the dementia they are in. In this webinar, we will review the stages of Alzheimer’s disease and what to expect as a person progresses. Additionally, we will review the daily needs and routines suited for people in different stages.

Today, April 1st @ 2:30pm
