Dear Ward 3 Residents,
My heart is filled with gratitude as I celebrate the incredible honour of being re-elected as your City Councillor for Ward 3 in Mississauga.
This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to all of us. It is a victory for our community, for the people who believe in our shared vision, and for what we can achieve when we come together.
To the residents of Ward 3, thank you for your trust, your support, your encouragement, and your belief in me. I am deeply humbled and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving you and fulfilling the commitments we have made together to keep Ward 3 a wonderful place to live, work, and raise our families.
To my incredible campaign team, volunteers, donors, supporters, endorsers, and friends, thank you from the bottom of my heart. To the countless individuals who walked alongside me, knocked on doors, made phone calls, shared words of encouragement, and gave so generously of their time and energy, I could not have done this without you.
One of the greatest joys of this campaign was seeing people from every generation and walk of life come together. From young students and families to seniors, neighbours of all cultural backgrounds and faiths, your kindness, enthusiasm, and unwavering support reminded me of what makes our community so special. Our diversity is our strength, and our sense of community is what brings us together.
To my wonderful family, thank you for your unconditional love, patience, sacrifices, and unwavering belief in me. You have been my strength and my foundation throughout this journey, and I am forever grateful.
As we celebrate this moment, I am reminded that an election victory is not simply a finish line. It is a renewed commitment to the people we serve and to the future we are building together.
I remain as passionate and determined as ever to advocate for Ward 3, champion the needs of our residents, and work toward an even stronger, safer, more vibrant and welcoming Mississauga.
This is our community. This is our shared vision. And together, we will continue to build a brighter future.
Thank you, Ward 3, for placing your trust in me once again. I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.
Warm regards,
Councillor Chris Fonseca

| | Brr-ing on the Cold: Get Your Home Winter- Ready! | | |
As Mississauga trades summer sunshine for sweater weather, falling leaves and crisp autumn days, now is the time to prepare for what comes next: winter.
Before colder temperatures set in, take time to inspect and clean your property to help protect against weather-related challenges. Being proactive before temperatures drop can help prevent costly damage from colder conditions.
This critical upkeep acts as a preventive measure to protect against fire damage (from heating sources), water damage (from frozen pipes) and structural damage (from wind, ice and snow buildup), while helping ensure your home and property are well maintained.

| | Diwali Celebrations: Know the Rules for Using Fireworks | | |
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by many people in Mississauga. The holiday symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and is often marked with gatherings, decorations, diyas, candles and fireworks.

You cannot use fireworks:

- In parking lots
- On other public property
You need a permit from the City if you want to:
- Use fireworks on a different day
- Hold a fireworks display in a City park or public place
The City will have extra Municipal By-law Enforcement officers on duty during Diwali to help keep celebrations safe.
Do not call 911 for fireworks complaints unless there is an immediate danger, like a fire or someone is hurt. To report illegal fireworks, call 311, submit it online, or visit mississauga.ca/fireworks.
