The Message this Week

Preaching Text: John 4:1-42

Living Water! Where last week Nicodemus came at night, this week Jesus has an encounter in the noonday sun with a woman coming to the well. What does it mean that Jesus offers her living water?  And what does it mean to us?

God of Living Water, thank You for the refreshment You give us for our body and soul. In Jesus' name, Amen.

WONDERING...

Real questions from real people to learn more about faith.

Why doesn't the church comment more on things that are happening in the world?

LAST CHANCE! As we begin the process of calling an associate pastor, the Call Committee has created a brief, two question survey for the congregations input. The survery will close this Saturday, January 31. Click HERE to complete the survey. Please note that this is best completed on a computer or tablet. If you choose to do it from your phone, you may have to turn it sideways.

You can contact the Call Committee with questions at callcommittee@genevalutheran.org.

• Holy one, you are the life-giving water we seek. Give us this water, that we may no longer thirst after that which does not satisfy.
• Help us be part of the solution to heal our struggling planet.
• Give us the wisdom and courage to dismantle what divides us from others.
• Pour your life-giving water upon us and all those who require an extra measure of your grace and healing, especially Steve & Diane Hitzemann, and Oliver Needleman, nephew of Gabby Loboda.
• Keep us steadfast until that day when we join our brothers and sisters in your eternal city.

With confidence in your mercy, we lift these prayers and those of our hearts into your care, through Jesus Christ our light and our life. Amen.
