One hand giving another hand a small heart

1 John 4:15-18

Good morning friend, we hope you're stocking up on glitter because you're going to need it this weekend.

Here's what is going on, and coming up, around Saint Mark.

CHURCH NEWS

THE LEGACY CAMPAIGN

UPDATE

We' have raised $129,738 as of October 6th. That puts us less than 15% away from our $150,000 goal!

The Legacy Campaign is set to end on October 25th. At this rate, we may be able to reach our goal before the deadline, and go well beyond it!

Funds from The Legacy Campaign will be used to Replace our Sanctuary Sound System, Secure our Church Campus with dependable key-card access, and Restore our historic Fifth Street Red Doors.

Pride Sunday

rainbow arms

Pride Sunday is this week, and there's no shortage of tasks to be accomplished between now and then. The Saint Mark staff, and worship team, need helping moving tables, chairs, and platforms in preparation for the big day.

You would make a huge difference in the Sunday morning experience by showing up to Wade Hall at 5:30 PM this Thursday to help us get everything ready.

We could also use some extra hands on Sunday morning at 7:30 AM!

Help Keep Saint Mark Seen and Heard!

Saint Mark’s A/V team urgently needs volunteers! Our dedicated volunteers need more helping hands with sound, cameras, and captions for our weekly 11 a.m. services. You don’t have to serve in the balcony every week—just one Sunday a month would make a tremendous difference. Some roles require no experience, just a little tech savvy and a willingness to learn. Training is provided! Help make worship accessible in the sanctuary and online. Interested? See Matt McClure, Paul Spencer, Johnny Sims, or the church office.

Inviting all students

Would you student's school be interested in watching a daytime performance of The Diary of Anne Frank?

The Drama Ministry is inviting all the schools in Atlanta to witness their production, so if you think your student's school would like to participate, contact Howie Ashley.

Pride Parade Float Assembly

Pride Sunday!

Pride Sunday 2025

The time has finally come. Pride Sunday is this week! There will be brief prayer service at 8:30 AM in the sanctuary and a full worship service on the terrace a 10:00 AM (weather permitting).

Guest preacher, Bishop Robin Dease will be giving the sermon at the 10:00 AM service. Bishop Dease was elected by the 2022 Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference of The United Methodist Church and consecrated November 4, 2022.

We will provide chairs for the 10:00 AM service, but anyone planning to stay for the parade must bring their own chair if they plan to sit.

Paid parking in the deck will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday. If you're not a Saint Mark church member, and you plan to keep your vehicle in the parking deck after worship, you will need to pay for parking anytime after 2:00 PM.

If you're walking in the parade, the North Georgia United Methodists Pride Parade 2026 Facebook page is where you can find the most up to date information. If you would like to sign up to walk in the parade, click the button below.

There are lots of ways to get involved this year. Do one, do some, or do them all. Whatever you do, Sunday is guaranteed to be a blast!
