WCF Grantees Impact the Community

Warren County Foundation provides Impact Grants annually to enhance the quality of life in Warren County.

Camp Joy Empowering Underserved Youth Through Camp Programming

Camp Joy serves 10,000 people annually through outdoor camping, education, and leadership training, fostering resilience and academic success. This grant will support more than 200 Warren County residents, helping youth build confidence, manage emotions, and develop relationships.

"Camp Joy is extremely grateful for the long-term relationship and support received through the Warren County Foundation (WCF). In recent years, WCF has supported our mission of serving underserved children from Warren County through outdoor based programming in the form of various grants, including funding from the Klingling Trust Fund, COVID relief, and a very generous Impact grant. Through these impactful gifts, many young people in Warren County have been given the gift of Joy, which is truly immeasurable. Without the generosity and support from partners like the WCF, our crucial mission would not be possible."

Cancer Family Care: Free Mental Health Counseling for Warren County Children Coping with Cancer

Earlier this summer, Cancer Family Care hosted 50 kids at Camp Courage, held at Camp Joy. Designed for children ages 5–14 impacted by cancer, the day blended therapeutic activities like art, group discussions, and yoga with Camp Joy adventures such as canoeing, archery, and rock climbing. Campers left with new friends, lasting memories, and the comfort of knowing they’re not alone—one shared, “It was so great to meet another kid whose dad has cancer too, I thought I was the only one.”

"On behalf of the campers and their families, CFC would like to send out a special thank you to the Warren County Foundation and all of the amazing donors who make Camp Courage possible!"

-Jill Settlemyre, Executive Director, Cancer Family Care
