Christmas Day Service

What is a “Blue Christmas” service? For some, memories of past experiences and the pain of present situations can become overwhelming. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Eve can be very difficult and a vivid reminder of the challenges in our lives. We invite you to offer your pain to the Christ child in this service and pray you will find hope and comfort in knowing you are not alone.

Construction Update

East Ramp repoured and lift inspected

This week saw some significant progress on our Narthex construction and also outside work.

First, the State of Missouri inspected and passed our new handicap lift as safe for handling passengers. We still cannot use the lift until the Narthex addition is complete and the City of Blue Springs issues an occupancy permit.

Second, the ramp from the parking lot and the adjacent retaining walls were reconstructed this week. The broken sidewalk on the handicap ramp on the front of the church was also replaced.

Third, a new drainage system was installed under the ramp to prevent water backing-up into the church. The back grounds of the church were also graded to improve drainage away from the building.

NOTICE: The lower east entrance to the building from the parking lot may be closed this Sunday due to the concrete curing. Please use caution ! !

Remember your 2024 pledge

Please give by December 31

It's almost time to welcome in the new year, but before we leave 2024, please check to see if you have paid the full amount of your pledge for this year.

If you haven't, you have until December 31 to give for it to be counted as a deduction on your 2024 taxes. You can also give the amount in early 2025 (please identify it is for your 2024 pledge) and you can then deduct it on your 2025 taxes, if that strategy benefits you with regard to your tax liability.

Also remember, if you have given any "in-kind" support to Resurrection during 2024 and would like the amount to be included on your giving statement, please complete a Request for Addition to Contribution Record, attach supporting documentation and receipts, and give to the Treasurer.

Thank you for all your support of Resurrection and our ministries this past year Without you our parish literally could not operate. Wishing you many blessings for 2025.

Sign-up now for Nunsense by Dec. 29

Only one week left
