Hello DACC Parents!
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve as a learning organization, we would like to collect feedback from parents of our students. Our goal is to better understand what we do well and where we have opportunities for growth.
Our survey has three sections: (1) School Environment, (2) Employability Skills, and (3) Future Planning
Please respond with your honest feedback. If you are unsure of how to answer a question, please select "I don't know" or leave it blank.
Thank you in advance for taking a few minutes to share your thoughts about our school!

SkillsUSA South Central Regional took place on Saturday, March 5th. Eleven students competed in 9 different contests to qualify for the State Championships in May.
Four students placed either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and will continue onto the championship event that is held on May 3rd-May 4th.
Cosmetology senior Isabelle Newland from Delaware Hayes High School, took 1st place in "Esthetics".
Isabelle and the other regional winners will be joined by over 20 additional students who will compete in “Straight to State” contests.
First-place winners at the State level will qualify to compete at Nationals in June, held in Atlanta Georgia.
Good luck to all our students representing DACC at the Regional and State level competitions.

Blended Learning Academy (BLA
|
|
Current juniors recently heard a presentation about a new opportunity for taking academic courses at DACC.
BLA is a new approach to DACC academic classes that will be available to qualified, full-day seniors for the 2022-2023 school year.
Here is what a typical week will look like in BLA:
-
Mondays and Wednesdays, students will be required to attend in-person class following a regular schedule.
-
Tuesdays and Thursdays, students will complete assignments and activities from home. During these days, students will be able to work at their own pace, but will have virtual access to their teachers during their assigned period time through video conferencing.
-
Fridays will look and feel like Hybrid Fridays with students qualifying to work from home. Students who are struggling or have transportation issues will be able to attend DACC on any of the virtual days, follow their schedule, and receive more 1-on-1 help from their teachers. Students are required to attend lab daily.
