DACC Students and Families,
As we get into the full swing of the second semester, students are busy preparing for their Career Technical Student Organization competitions. The hard work our students are putting in will pay off for years to come. They are learning new skills, stretching their talents, making contacts, adding awards to their portfolios, and building their confidence.
As they continue to put their skills up against the best-of-the-best on a regional, statewide, and even national level, we wish them the best of luck.
With the first real signs of snow, this is a great time to check to make sure you know where to look for announcements in the event of a delay or cancellation:
- You will receive a phone call, text, and/or email, based on the information you provided at registration.
-
Follow us on Facebook or Twitter for instant alerts.
- An alert will appear on the homepage of the DACC website.
-
Download the DACC app from Google Play Store or the App Store by searching 'Delaware Area Career Center' to receive push notifications.
- Watch Channel 10 for updates on school delays and closures.
More information is available on our website about possible scenarios for our students and the bell schedule for a one or two-hour delay.

State law requires districts to administer the state-funded ACT to all juniors in the spring of the school year. The state administration of the ACT will include the primary subject areas in reading, English, mathematics, and science. The state testing of the ACT will not include the optional writing test. DACC will be providing test preparation sessions to all full-day juniors in January and February.
