Santee Falcons SOAR! Principal's Update
March 08, 2020
Principal Ansley's Weekly Message
Dear Santee Family,

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." Mahatma Gandhi

This week, we are celebrating our Psychiatric Social Workers and our Pupil Services and Attendance counselors. Our PSW's and PSA's do so much for our students and our school community.

They not only dedicate their days to the social emotional wellbeing of our students but they are there for our staff and parents as well. They remind us to take better care of ourselves and they go out of their way to find the appropriate resources for our school families.

On behalf of our entire school community, thank you for all that you do! We are truly grateful to be able to have the means to have all of you supporting our campus. I believe that your positions are vital to all schools and I know that your positions can be very challenging and emotionally exhausting and that's why it's important that you know that you are greatly appreciated! Thank you Ms. Marroquin, Ms. Razo, Ms. Felix, Ms. Heredia and Ms. Martin, you are awesome!

Working Together, All Santee Falcons Will Soar !

If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to call our main office or email Principal Susana Ansley-Gutierrez at susana.gutierrez@lausd.net.

B) Santee Hard Truths

  • As we all have heard there is a lot of concern over the spread of COVID-19. We ask everyone to wash your hands and keep your work areas clean. Our superintendent is providing regular communication. Currently, all out-of-state travel has been cancelled. Also, we ask that all stakeholders stay home if you are sick. You should not attend school or work unless you have not had a fever for over 24 hours without fever reducing medication.

  • We are in the midst of March which is usually one of our highest months when it comes to student behavior referrals, but we can get in front of it. Lets make it the best month of March in our school history by showing our students love, care and encouragement! Let's be extra vigilant and be open to listening to students' needs and responding with opportunities to support our students social emotional needs. Let's work as a team and make this a great month!
