HB 96 is Now Law
That means cyber insurance is no longer optional policy discussion — it’s a compliance, financial, and legal reality for political subdivisions across Ohio.
What exactly is required? What does coverage actually include? What are the consequences of not having it? How does this impact municipal budgets and taxpayer protection?
On March 17, GoCyber Collective is convening industry, municipal government, insurance carriers, and legal leaders for a focused Cyber Insurance Summit to address these questions directly.
This is not a sales event. It’s a clarity event.
If you are a municipal leader, fiscal officer, IT director, law director, risk manager, or insurance professional — this conversation matters.
Vitals:
Date: March 17, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Place: 201 Tyler Way, Moraine, OH, 45439

A Conversation Every Public Sector Leader Should Be Having
Cyber threats against local governments are not slowing down.
Ransomware attacks against municipalities, utilities, schools, and public safety agencies continue to rise. At the same time, many organizations are feeling the strain internally, security teams are stretched thin, users are frustrated, and leadership is under growing pressure to prove systems are protected.
The challenge facing today’s leaders is no longer simply about deploying the right technology. It’s about whether our approach to security is keeping pace with the threat landscape.
Attackers are adaptive.
AI is accelerating attack capability.
Response windows are shrinking.
Accountability at the executive and policy level is growing.
Yet many organizations are still operating within security frameworks designed for a much slower threat environment.
At next week’s GoCyber Collective meeting, Ken Fanger will challenge conventional cybersecurity thinking and present a different model, one built around resilience, adaptability, and alignment between leadership, operations, and security teams.
For public sector organizations responsible for protecting critical services and community trust, this is not an abstract discussion. It’s an operational one.
If your organization is working harder every year but still feels behind the threat curve, this conversation will be worth your time.
Join us next week.

Want to Stop an Attacker? Start Thinking Like One.
The most effective defense against a cyberattack isn’t another policy. It’s perspective.
You cannot defend what you do not understand, and you cannot anticipate what you’ve never practiced.
That’s why GoCyber Collective is bringing you Certified Red Team Fundamentals — an immersive, hands-on workshop built for professionals who want more than theory.
In this one-day intensive experience, you will:
- Learn how real attackers think
- Explore red team methodologies and tools
- Apply techniques in live, scenario-based exercises
- Identify the blind spots most organizations miss
This is not a lecture. It’s a controlled adversary experience.
You’ll leave with:
- Practical, actionable defensive insight
- 6 credit hours
- A certificate of completion
- And a sharper edge in protecting your organization and community
Attackers study you every day. It’s time to study them back.

Introduction to Cybersecurity for Water & Wastewater Operators
GoCyber Collective is launching statewide cybersecurity training for water and wastewater operators, beginning with our first class in Moraine on April 2-3.
This two-day, in-person course is specifically designed for water and wastewater professionals, not IT staff. As cyber threats increasingly target critical infrastructure, operators are on the front lines of protecting public health, safety, and essential services.
This course provides the practical awareness and tools operators need to recognize risk and respond appropriately without technical jargon or fear-based messaging.
Take-away for attendees:
-A clear understanding of why water and wastewater systems are increasingly targeted
-Awareness of real-world cyber threats impacting operational technology (OT) and SCADA environments
-Practical best practices operators can apply immediately
-Insight into how cybersecurity connects directly to operational safety, compliance, and community trust
This course is part of GoCyber Collective's mission to strengthen cybersecurity readiness across critical infrastructure sectors, starting with the people who keep essential systems running every day.
We are excited to bring this training across the state.
