Greetings!

We are excited to offer your scholars the opportunity to attend our upcoming Saturday Coding Class sponsored by the Camden Dream CDF Freedom School STEM 2.0 Program. This is an excellent opportunity for your child to build confidence with coding while exploring how technology is used in the real world.

During these sessions, students will use SparkBeta, a project-based learning program from Spark Photonics Foundation. Your children will learn Python coding through semiconductors, photonics, advanced manufacturing, and chip design.

Students will learn that coding isn't only used for apps, websites, and games; it also plays an important role in designing and improving the tiny chips and light-based technologies found in phones, computers, medical devices, fiber-optic internet, sensors, vehicles, and emerging AI systems.

These topics are especially relevant for students in New Jersey and the surrounding region, where career pathways in technology, manufacturing, healthcare, communications, and engineering continue to grow.

Through a new partnership with Spark Photonics Foundation, our students will explore future-focused career connections while practicing problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, communication, and persistence.

Your children do not need to be experts in coding or technology to participate. This program is approachable, hands-on, and engaging. We are excited to have your child or children take part in this amazing opportunity and begin seeing themselves as future coders, designers, technicians, engineers, and innovators.

Thank you for supporting your student’s participation in these Saturday Coding Sessions; it can make a huge difference in their respective career choices.
